In a bid to address traffic congestion in the Kamarhatti area, a state-of-the-art bus terminus will soon be constructed near Dakshineshwar. The project, which has already received approval from the Transport Department, is now in the land acquisition phase.
Kamarhatti Municipality Chairman Gopal Saha announced the development, stating that efforts are underway to locate suitable land near Dakshineshwar for the terminus. Once the land is finalized, the people of Kamarhatti will benefit from this modern facility, expected to alleviate the area's long-standing traffic woes.
The terminus will be strategically planned to handle the growing demand for efficient public transportation in the region. This initiative aims not only to improve traffic flow but also to provide better connectivity for commuters.
In addition to the bus terminus, Chairman Saha also revealed plans to repair and upgrade roads around the municipality in the coming days. The enhanced infrastructure is expected to significantly improve the daily commute for residents and reduce vehicular congestion.
